Anti Bullying Campaign starts at Earl Mortimer and Feeder Schools..
The Earl Mortimer Anti-Bulling Campaign- EMC ABC
The EMC ABC group is working to raise awareness of and minimise bullying in the college.
HOW?
There is a display board on Mortimer Bridge (by the library) which you must take a look at if you haven't seen it already! The ABC students have even held assemblies for years 7, 8 and 9!
What is bullying?
A deliberate behaviour- with the intention of hurting someone emotionally or physically.
It can be done by one person, or by a group of people.
It is repeated over time (it is not a one-off incident).
Verbal: name calling, taunting/teasing, anything where words cause discomfort for the recipient.
Physical: hitting, pushing, kicking, poking, putting things on people, throwing things at people.
Here at EMC we do not want:
- Physical abuse
- Stealing
- Racism
- Rumours/Gossip
- Threats
- Name calling
- Damaging property
- Cyber bullying
