Awards Evening 2010

On Friday 15th July 2011 the Earl Mortimer College and Sixth Form Centre Awards Evening took place - (Photo slideshow coming soon - Click here for slideshow)

We were honoured and priveged to have the following guests of hnour to present the awards:

ANTON OLIVER

Anton represented the New Zealand All blacks from 1995 to 2007 (Captain 2001) and played in two rugby union world cup tournaments. He was also involved in the senior leadership group of the All Blacks for eight of the thirteen years that he played for them. Years of public and personal expectations have taught him how to fuinction successfully under pressure and to identify and assist others who are not achieveing to their, or their teams potential. Anton was given a guided tour of some of the facilities available to students at Earl Mortimer College.

 

Deputy Lieutenant of Hereford Christopher James

Christopher has had a varied career as a soldier, a diplomat and a businessman. He was commisioned into the Welsh Guards in 1965. He served in the foreign office for 20 years in a variety of posts in Africa, India and Europe. In 1995 he started a new career in business, founding Hakluyt, a company providing strategic advice to top management of major international companies. He retired from Hakluyt in 2006 to spend more time in Herefordshire
