Dear Future Students,

Welcome to the most exciting College in the county. You are about to join us at a hugely positive moment in time. The new College will be alive with the sound of fellow students working hard to achieve their goals and targets. The social areas will be filled with groups of friends catching up on the latest news. There has been a school on this site for over 100 years but EMC is unlike anything you will have seen before! Finally, after suffering years of a leaky roof and damp class rooms, the entire College was been rebuilt from scratch and opened in September 2010. Before the new College even was finished, every single adult we took around the site exclaimed, "wow! I wish I was back at school again... this is amazing".

No doubt you are a little nervous about becoming a "little fish in a big pond" but I am certain that you will feel perfectly at home by the end of your first week here. Your Tutor and your new Teachers are very much looking forward to meeting you in September.

Principal: Mr A Long

Mr Long runs the whole College. He is responsible to the Governors to ensure that a high quality of education is being delivered and that all students are receiving their full entitlement.

Vice Principal: Mrs D Blackmore

Mrs Blackmore makes sure that the teaching and learning you receive is absolutely fantastic. Whether is it to do with new ways of teaching, or new ideas for how students learn, Mrs Blackmore has her finger on the pulse of modern education.

Assistant Principal: Mr P South

Mr South oversees the growth of new technologies and the curriculum. He aims to make sure that every student has access to the latest digital learning environments and the highest quality education. Did you know we have over 400 laptops here?

Assistant Principal and Director of Sport: Mr N Maddock

Mr Maddock oversees Sport across the College. Sport is not just found in PE lessons; Sports College Status means that all of your favourite subjects will link to sport in one shape or form. There is a stunning selection of sports clubs to choose from; Mr Maddock, Mr Morris and the Sports Specialism Team are very much looking forward to discovering your sporting talents!
