Year 6 to 7 Transition - Joining EMC in Year 7

Let's face it; moving up from Year 6 into Year 7 is an important step.

It seems that one minute you are at the 'top' of your junior or primary school; the next minute you have moved up to a secondary school and suddenly you have become the smallest and youngest.

Relax. You will be meeting lots of your new teachers and exploring your new college between now and when you start in September. Our aim is to make the move from Year 6 to Year 7 smooth and clear. Your peace of mind is really important and we are sure that you will fit right in.

We're really excited and pleased that you have chosen (or are thinking about choosing) the brand new Earl Mortimer College and Sixth Form Centre. With exam results rising and greater numbers of new students joining the college every term, North Herefordshire's new college really is the place to be. This year we are trying something new. The college radio station, EMC Student Radio, is producing lots of short radio programmes in which students and teachers will talk about moving up.

Expect to hear lots of hints and tips!
