Health Education - (Including Sex and Relationship Education and Drug Awareness)

We very much.Health education which includes Sex and Relationship Education and Drug Education, is taught throughout the College to Years 7-13 during their Personal & Social Health Education (PSHE) pessons.  Other subjects such as Citizenship, Science, English, Food Technology and History also play a major role in the delivery of this, as they cover topics which encompass Health Education.

Sex and Relationship Education is presented in a sensitive manner and should be complementary to the role of parents.  DVD’s and outside speakers are used with particular topics.  Please contact the College if you wish to see the materials used or ask questions about Sex and Relationship Education at Earl Mortimer College.

Parents have a right to withdraw their child from any aspect (or all aspects) of Sex Education not covered in the National Curriculum.
